Blackboard re-releases mobile apps

After some technical difficulties, the Blackboard mobile app is once again available. We’ve downloaded it to a few iPods and iPhones and it looks good so far.

The functionality has not changed. You can see your courses and access materials, but that’s about it.

Course content on mobile devices is accessible only on iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) over a WiFi connection. Android and BlackBerry users must be Sprint Network customers. We’re hopeful Blackboard will expand its support of mobile access options; as it does, the Libraries will make them available.

The download page shows the Android market link by default. To reveal links to other download sites, click (or press) the appropriate smartphone image.

Get the app here.
